Hello, I am Kimberly, and I have been interested in photography for many years. I was able to take a photography class at my high school, and I enjoyed it. I was able to buy my first SLR in 2002. In September 2004, I enrolled in the at-home photography course from New York Institute of Photography. And in the few years that followed, my artwork has made its way to various print-on-demand sites, and portfolio sites. Eventually I put together a little website to show what I create with my cameras.
I purchased my Pentax DSLR in 2007 and my photo collection has increased 10 fold. My favorite subjects to photograph are animals, landscapes and flowers. I also like to paint, draw, create digital art and write. I create many forms of art; from fantasy and Gothic, to romantic and cheerful. In 2011 I was able to buy a Wacom tablet, and I am slowly practicing my digital art skills of drawing on the computer with it. But with the purchase of a new computer in 2016, my tablet is no longer in use. And I probably will not purchase any tablets again as they are only suitable for software for a short time.
I own a Nikon N65 film camera. It was my first camera. I have Nikon and Sigma lenses. I use Kodak film. My digital camera is a Pentax K10D. I also own a Pentax Optio, and we like taking it to the beach. I own a vintage and a newer Polaroid Instant Camera, plus the Instant Print Digital Camera Z340E. I also have a vintage Kodak Duaflex, which I use to create Through-the-Viewfinder photographs, or better known as T-t-V.
I like to pick up old cameras here and there to add to my collection. One day I hope to add a panoramic camera to my collection, and a serious underwater camera. My dream camera would be a Hasselblad DSLR.
Here is a list of places where I have been, and where I took my photographs that are on display.
“With the use of film and digital cameras, I hope that I have captured the world around me in a pleasing manor that will encompass the beauty of our world.”
